Research interest
Molecular biology of plant mitochondria - towards understanding of mitochondrial biogenesis under abiotic stress
Main goal
Study of qualitative and quantitative changes in mitochondrial proteome and transcriptome of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis), yellow lupin (Lupinus luteus) and Arabidopsis thaliana under cold and heat stress.
Current scientific interests:
Analysis of the steady-state level of various mitochondrial proteins (subunits of the respiratory chain, CCM proteins involved in the maturation of c-type cytochromes, heat shock proteins and mitochondrial matrix enzymes) in cold and heat stress.
Stress-regulated dehydrin-like proteins in plant mitochondria- cloning, localisation, interactions
Analysis of qualitative and quantitative changes in mitochondrial proteome under stress conditions and after stress acclimation using 2-D electrophoresis (IEF/SDS-PAGE)
Analysis of assembly of mitochondrial complexes and supercomplexes under analysed stress conditions and after stress acclimation (BN-PAGE, BN/SDS-PAGE, DIGE BN/SDS-PAGE)
Study of protein-protein interactions within plant mitochondria in heat stress by means of chemical crosslinking (DSP crosslinker)
Study of plant mitochondrial transcriptome in stress conditions
Bioenergetical properties of cauliflower mitochondria in stress
Mitochondrial morphology in stress
